ABOUT the MAGAZINE

We’d like to think Slated was born a long time ago, in the minds of all the artists that have ever laid a pen to paper. Be it to write, scribble, doodle, or draw (yes there’s a difference), we have all started somewhere similar, jotting ideas in journals about the art we want to share and the stories we want to tell. Through cinema, Slated hopes to be the avenue in which those ideas intersect. 

Let this be your catalog for local and independent filmmaking - a place to hear from the artificers of cinema, to find inspiration and learn tools of the trade. Let it be the place where the microcosm of motion picture unfolds and ushers in a community of artists who’ve been connected for far longer than they yet realize.
